Yes. It is as contagious as yawning.
-
Absolutely yes. I love being nice to people and seeing the effect it has. :)
-
Of course it's. I had a friend that was very hard to smile. Now he's very cheerful person because of this. Also, I'm always more cheerful when I'm sitting with cheerful people.
-
No, but that doesn't keep the eternally grinning from thinking it is :)

I think that emotions always spill over - at least when people are sensitive enough to respond to how another person feels. This applies to positive and negative feedback. I think it's an amazing thing, being able to spread a smile or some general enthusiasm.

For sure. Even if it doesn't make someone else happy at least it may give them a positive feel and give them energy. I know it works on me every time :-)
-
I do indeed. That is my prime directive..optimism, being positive, being cheerful and showing appreciation. It's hard to be a sourpuss when confronted with an endlessly cheerful person. Those who do remain negative are simply hopeless and we cheerful folk just move on! :)
-
Not always, but quite often it is. Many times I've had someone draw me out of a funk by being bubbly and silly when all I wanted to do is sulk.
-
Yeah... It can be like a disease sometimes!
-
Definitely. I went out to dinner once with the most cheerful people you could imagine and I remembered the meal being great, the atmosphere being fantastic, and I was just generally in a good mood. Trying to recreate this feeling, I went back there the next week without aforementioned company and it was quite a miserable restaurant.
-
Yes, I would agree without reservation. Let us spread our cheers around.
-
No, because if you're in a bad mood, an overly cheerful person can be annoying.
