  • I would say almost all marriages fail because the idea of failure was entertained even before the vows were taken.

I agree with the person above - and my priest deliberately asks prospective marriage couples if they have a prenuptual agreement and if they do, he refuses to marry them, because it shows they are not serious about each other. My uncle had such an agreement, and, needless to say, he was divorced within 18 months.
