I have just one computer. Don't need more than one.

Two. My old Dell Dimension that ran Windows 98. I had to give it up even though I liked it, because my ISP said after June 2008 that they would not support any version of Windows older than XP. Then I went out and bought a used HP Pavilion with Windows XP home on it.

One laptop and one desktop

I have only one computer in my house. I do not need more than one because I am the only user of it. My wife does not and she is also not keen to learn it.

Two, unless both my kids are home. Then there's four(one needed it for college, the other participates in the laptop program at her school). I could make it with just one, but prefer to keep all my writing stuff on the older one that can't be hooked up to the internet.

5 inside (one for each person) 1 complete one in the garage no telling how many we could make at any given time with all the hardware laying about.

I use only one. I have put an old one in the store room.
-
We have 1 computer and 2 laptops, but we have used only 1 computer for years and we got along fine.
-
Three functional ones and a few for parts. No. We have three people with *very* different computing needs. My roomie only does Linux, and my wife prefers a full-sized keyboard and screen while I actually prefer my spiffy little AA1. Not to mention that when my wife and I shared a PC, she would constantly complain about my constant reconfiguring of the system.
-
Four. One for each family member.
-
Three at the moment I think. And they all go. +5
-
I have 5, Three desktops and two laptops, One Dell one Mac. I use my new Dell desktop exclusively. I really need to update all the others as I haven't turned them on in months.
-
7, No.

Everyone in the household has one each. It stops fighting over whose "turn" it is.
