  • Life can already be dull sometimes,I can't even imagine living without art to soothe the senses, relax the mind, and release the inner madman if need be.I think it would be a complete mess with out art.A world I don't know that I would want to be in.
  • Life IS ART, so in my view and sensibilities art could never be 'NOT!' The plethora of shapes, forms, dimensions, perspectives, that one is surrounded by Nature and 'just living': the color of day and night; the tints and tones of our diverse populations; the way any one 'dresses' -- art as a personal 'color-filled' demonstration and statement; the lyric tones of language; the smell of of freshly mown grass, or dead fish, new love or delicious multicultural cuisine; the sounds of children laughing, the symphony of music played, the sound of anquished injustice, or the bravo's given for a job well done; the commonality for the need of touch; the brains mission (and human gift) toward abstract thought, logic and reason: all of these and obviously much more IS ART! For without these human senses, Art 'illustrated' could never exist. With all these realities, our Life is in common, the celebration of Art is apparent, even to those 'unaware,' as it is IN everything, IN everyone! For this, since Life IS, Art IS and will always be!

  • Life without art would be terrible.Nature itself is form of art.How could a rose be more beautiful.Man needs to express himself and art is the most positive outlet. We are all artists but unfortunateley we think we have to compete with each other,so some artists are appearently talented and others are not. This is nonscense.Art is a canvas of mankind throughout history. How else could we know our ancestors.

  • Life would be impossible. Art condenses the experience we all have as human beings, and, by forming it, makes it significant. We all have an in-built need for harmony and the structures that create harmony. Basically, art is an affirmation of life. Art addresses itself to the mind, and not to the eyes. It has always been considered in this way by primitive peoples, and they are right. Art is a language, instrument of knowledge, instrument of communication. A work of art enters life very much like another human being – complicated, loaded with overtones and meaning, mysterious, enticing, obsessive, and beautiful. There's no way to control how it will be used, how it will be read, and that's part of the excitement of it. Art is our one true global language. It knows no nation, it favors no race, and it acknowledges no class. It speaks to our need to reveal, heal, and transform. It transcends our ordinary lives and lets us imagine what is possible. Art has nothing whatever to do with what is private or public, political or poetic, beautiful or ugly, everyday or absurd, nude or symbolic, but is... of a domain in which beauty and death, history and nature, fantasy and reality, dream and memory are inseparable.

  • Comparatively bland.
  • plain and boring !!
  • the question might be: of what value is any "art" to the seer? ...many seem to have said that it alleviates boredom...; so then I might ask, why are you bored? :)
  • The Army
  • Artless
  • DUH! LOSERX! THINK HARD!
  • Incomplete! ... Although many do not see the art to appreciate it ... they do see the painting hanging on the wall ... yet cannot understand the value within the feelings produced by a piece of art ... so it matters not. But for those that do understand and see the art ... it would be a life only half lived by its absence. Thankyou
