  • Oh, I'm so sorry about your loss. =( This has probably been my worst Christmas, as well.
  • I'm so sorry to hear that! This was also a bad Christmas for us as well. A friend and his wife were killed in an accident caused by a drunk driver. They had just found out they were expecting a baby. So sad, it just tears my heart out. Sad at any time but Christmas Day seems to make it harder to comprehend.
  • For mine, it was 2003. We (my family and I) had to make the decision to let the hospital turn off the machines that were keeping our mom alive.
  • My condolences for your loss. : (
  • I think this might be mine too. Crap day, crap night. Told someone I loved them, they never said it back.
  • awww I'm so sorry for your loss. (((HUGS)))
  • You have my deepest sympathy.
  • this is the saddest christmas in my life...my eldest brother died the day before yesterday...please keep us in your prayers and may God bless all of you and your families.
  • I have been lucky in my life that none of my life's tragedies have happened at Christmas. Some of those around me have not been so lucky this year, though. A friend and neighbor woke up this morning to a phone call that his brother had hung himself this morning and just after Christmas dinner my brother-in-law got a phone call that his father had a heart attack. When we give thanks for what we have, we should also give blessings for the things we have not had.
  • I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dear, sweet dog a year ago this month, and I remember how heart breaking it was.
  • Awww, I'm so sorry you lost your beloved pet, Redfox. You have my deepest regrets and sympathy for your loss. I don't know that I've ever had a BAD Xmas, but there have certainly been isolated events that put a damper on the joy of the season. Peace to you.
  • Oh No! I'm so sad for you. Please know that I am grieving with you.
  • Just a brief update: Right after I made this question, two more of our dogs (one of mine and my s/o's parent's dog) starting showing the same symptoms. We rushed them in and started giving them IVs and activated charcoal (to help absorb it from their insides). Neither of them survived. We had to put one down last night and my farm dog Duke starting a turn for the worse today and we had to put him down this evening. At this point we're just numb. Funny how little control we really have of our lives. Sucks. Thank you all for your very kind comments. It helps a lot!
  • I'm so sorry for your loss. The days I've lost pets are among the worst days of life, ever. You're in my thoughts.
  • I'm so very sorry for your loss. I wish I had the words that would comfort you. I'm so very very sorry.
  • I am so sorry to hear of your losses. Do you have any idea what they got into? It sounds like warfarin. That's just terrible! I wrote this article about dealing with the loss of a pet: Dealing With The Loss Of Your Pet http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1261459/dealing_with_the_loss_of_your_pet.html?cat=53 I hope it is helpful to you. Blessings, Suzanne
