    I dont know if your dog has a fetish for eating mulch of any kind.if it doesn't you should be safe. If your dog or cat preferrs to chew on mulch and the mulch is aged as it is supposed to be eucalyptus mulch would be safe as well. If it is a concern go with a more common mulch in this area its cedar or pine both safe bets. I hope this helps. Fresh eucalyptus can make cats sick not sure about dogs.
