none really. all i know is that if you are bilingual, and have a good paying job when you're older, you get paid more just for being bilingual

I can speak Portuguese, Spanish and still leaning English... the bad side is frustration and slangs... Other than that is really good when you can communicate without others to help you.

I don't think there are any. It's all positive to me..you can talk to other people from foreign countries and meet/make new friends or it could be something extra on a resume =]

There's no negative effects to learn a second or multiple languages--that I know of.

You can't forget and/or remember words in only one of the languages not the other. Usually, it's in the wrong language

Since I am not fluent in my second and third languages, I find I mix up words between French and Spanish.

Any and all negative effects of learning a second language are negated by the millions of positive reasons to learn a second language.

It becomming very strange when I start to dream in a second langage! It's a little bit scaring!

There really aren't any. Being multi-lingual has actually been proven to help delay any onset of Alzheimers! : )

None. And if you are brought up bilingual you develop a part of the brain your better that has to do with language and makes a third language easier to learn.

I don't think there are any negative effects - I keep urging some of my friends to take English as a second language cause half the times they open their mouths I can't understand a word they are saying.

You may not want to find out what your neighbors have been saying about you in another language. lol
