No, I don't think it's wrong, but I met this one lady who had her lights on all year because she said it was too much of a hassle to take it down after Christmas. I almost blurted out "So, how much are you paying for your electric bill?"

Not at all. You can't be too early with christmas lights. Halloween is a different matter. One day is more than enough!
