To do this go to Start > Run and enter "msconfig" (without the "speech-marks"). A dialogue box will open up. > Select the "Startup" tab. > Scroll through the list and you should see "Skype". > Uncheck the box next to Skype. > Press OK. > Next time you start your computer you will see a dialogue box, make sure you say you don't want to see msconfig next time you start your computer.
