I have been involved directly in international trade for a number of years and can be give you at least one specific example: My current salesperson (Who resides in China) works a for a company which manufacture and export product. Recently out of college (for international trade) she receives $1800 RMB (CNY) per month. Which is about $300 USD. Cost of living differs greatly where she pays $800 RMB per month. She will also receive a commission payout of a mere 1% upon meeting a specific sales target.
