Does it cost anything to get a new graphic card installed into a old laptop?

Yes, it will always cost, unless you know the guy. Graphics cards wouldn't be too expensive though, I wouldn't think. Best thing to do is call down to the nearest computer repair place (Radio Shack, Best Buy or Joe's Computers) and ask. If they do it they will tell you on the phone how much the charge is for installation. Understand though, it is usually variable, since most computer repairs are by the hour rather than by item replaced. But they can give you a round about figure easily.
