First you need water. Then a fishing pole that is adequate I would say a 7 footer medium action. Then a reel a Garcia spin cast will d nicely and make sure it will bear at least 20 lb line. Then the hooks a number 4 Eagle Claw and use some egg sinkers and rig them Carolina style. Now bait. This is the worst part of the channel cat experience. VChannel Cat will eat anything and everything on a given day. But which is that day. I would try worms . cut bait, minnows. Lastly go for tthr stink baits use pork liver in small chunks. Now face the water and flip that bait into the water without snagging anybody or anything then prop your pole up with a little slack in the line for catfish do not like tight line. Go find a nice shady spot where you can watch your pole and if the fish feel like biting you might catch somethig. You must remeber that fishing is 10 per cent skill and 90 per cent luck.
