  • probably not, besides childbirth. :( sorry.
  • Yes, the death of a loved one is far more painful in my experience.
  • Only temporarily..till the next love comes along. There are far more, permanent tragic things in life. Rejected love is very low on that list.
  • Yes, when someone you loves dies.
  • yes...when you find out that someone did not love you for you.
  • I believe lost love would be more painful. Not to belittle rejected love as it does hurt a lot knowing you had gotten rejected.
  • When you are seventeen, probably not. But, guys, a piece of shrapnel from a mortar round through your shoulder at nineteen hurts, man,...it really hurts. You forget all about your lost love. You just want that corpsman or medic...and that shot of morphine....And Judy and her Jody back home can go jump off a bridge together....
  • Rejected love is love that was never returned. It's frustrating. I think a lot of the other posters here have it right though. Lost love is far worse. When you love someone and they return it for a while, and you feel like you are really really close, and then they leave you out in the cold with little or no warning, that's about the worst pain in the whole world. I think it's maybe worse than even love lost due to death, because it's almost like they died, but you know the person you loved is still out there, but they just won't have anything to do with you anymore.
  • Much worse, when someone you loved deeply dies, especially if they loved you back.
