What are you opinions on Sephiroth's notoriety? Is he totally awesome, or is he overrated? Explain your choice?

Wicked awesome, in every sense of the phrase, Symbeline. Everything from his name to his theme music, he is the epitome of villainy.

Well he was cooler than Seymour, his sword was awesome and what not, I think he deserves the recognition that he gets, but I still think Auron should go down as the most badass FF character. So, meh.

Overrated. Even before he was introduced as a bad guy, I didn't like him. I don't understand when people say he's the hottest character in the entire FF series...long silver hair doesn't really do it for me.

Overrated. There are better RPG villains out there. Sephiroth had a nice torso, that's about it.

Well, you have to admit, the guy plans BIG. He's not out for world domination, he's out to destroy it, use it's lifefless carcass to float around in space, and start all over again on some unfortunate other planet. I admit, the fan girls drive me nuts. Yes, all people with eyes happen to notice how tall, pale, freakishly strong he is and what long, lovely hair and perfect complection he has....-.-" I do feel sorry for him though. I mean, who wouldn't freak out if you found out you were genetically altered even before you were born, the only reason you're even alive was to be used as a weapon of mass destruction, and some freaky-alien-mind-controlling-space-hag is claiming to be your mother! I'm kinda neutral that way.... (Vincent is better....)

i think its just the fact that he weilds a seven-ft Katana, owns many types of magic, is evil, has one bad-ass black wing and is strong....yeah he's cool..

Forget Sephiroth. For pure madness try Suikoden 2's Luca Blight. Had a cracking boss theme too.
