Why are the thoracic and sacral curves known as primary curvatures of the spine?

Because during birth, the fetal develops the thoracic and sacrum in the same position we are in now. When the newborn raises its head upright, that is a secondary curvature, to the cervical vertebrae.When the newborn stands upright, the lumbar vertebrae changes too.
