Some of our grocery stores carry buffalo burger meat. YUMMMM! It's so much less greasy than hamburger. +3!

We actually have a local restaurant that serves Buffalo, Emu and some other wild fare....I never tried it and I'm not sure if I would.

They sell it at supermarkets now but its called bison. In my opinion it is gross.

I imagine there is a restaurant there in New York City that would have Buffalo on the menu. You might even find it at some speciality grocery shops. It is very good meat. No cholesterol so very little fat. Tastes a lot like beef and is cooked like beef. Can even be cooked on the grill. Very good. There is a place that has been on the FoodNetwork that ships buffalo but right at the moment the name escapes my taxed brain. I think it is in one of the Dakotas. I imagine if one were to do a search for 'buffalo meat by mail' you might find something. I know there used to be a locker in a small town in Illinois that sold buffalo. There was also a farmer near Winfield, Iowa, by the name of Kaufman that raised buffalo for sale.

I used to stop at a truck stop in Utah frequently that served buffalo burgers on interstate 80, think it was in Green River, UT, or close by it. Pretty good stuff.

When I was in Denver Colorado I had Bison a few times, the best place I ate at was called Palace Arms at the Brown Palace and it was my first time trying Bison. They had everything from Bison steaks to Bison Burgers, I had a steak. It was actually pretty good, I'm an on/off vegeatarian and really picky about meat but it tasted great with a good red wine. I tried it again at a few other places but Palace Arms was the best place I went to there.

Fuddrucker's Restaurant chain has buffalo burgers on the menu. I love the flavor. I think there are a couple of Fuddrucker's in your state but the only one I've seen was in Colonie, up by Albany. Trader Joe's Grocery Stores sell buffalo meat. I'm not sure where in NY you are but I know there are Trader Joe's in Hicksville and in Freeport.
