Dell Dimension 8300 + 4 ys. Inconsistent boot. Error messages [Hdsk] [Alt] [Ups2] [Oops] + others [random] just installed HP C7280. No boot with printer on. Flashed BIOS, A01 to A07 now boot w/printer on. Random boot, no boot same error msg. WinXP-SP2?

did you check the bios battery? (not trying to be a wise guy)
