  • Because, they are lightweight?
  • The same reason why mine thinks he's black and wear's his pants on his upper thighs. The answer is, is because they are both teenagers, and that's their job, to supply material for questions like this, long live the teen. ;]
  • My son tells me they feel nice, he's only 8, but it's all he will wear :(
  • My son's almost 11 and for a long time all he would wear was nylon cargo type pants. I'd buy him jeans and they'd stay in his drawer. I thought that was really weird because my father, who he's never met, was the only other person I'd ever known who refused to wear jeans. My son just said that jeans are uncomfortable. He is finally just starting to wear them once in a while, but he still grabs his old nylon pants more often.
  • When I take my son shopping for clothes all he wants is the latest windpants and he will only get the unlined ones. I think maybe he has a fetish or something, I just can't get him to wear much else. I know your problem!
  • its more comfortable.. you can move around. instead of having stiff jeans, you can only bend so much.
  • They are still young so they can wear what they like for now I guess. But think about it, silky, smooth, soft fabric like nylon compared to stiff, rough denim. I thikn that is why.
  • I'm a dad and both me and my son only wear unlined nylon pants unless we have to get dressed up. It's because the nylon feels nice on skin, plain and simple. Also they are easy to move around in and we are both really active guys, sports, and around the house, etc.
  • what does it matter if he is happy? i only wear them too, nothing else feels nice like smooth nylon, and they look really stylish too.
  • Evidently because it pisses you off.
  • he likes to "go commando" and likes the way they feel on his "privates"
  • There just more comfortable than normal pants. I ussusaly wear them if I can get away with it. why do they bother you ? The constant swish swish swish can get irritating, it used to drive me nuts when people first started wearing them but i hardly even notice it when im wearing them
  • Ask him as I am sure he will know better than any of us can guess.
  • He does because the are more comfortable than jeans in school when u sit around alot. They are easy to move in and the are trendy.
  • I used to love wearing these shiny silky unlined dark blue adidas windpants too (the ones withhout racing stripes), they came out in the mid-90's sometime (that's when I bought them), AND I LOVED THEM! Wore them every chance I got, got funny looks and even giggles but I didn't care they just felt so damned good! I am a guy and am not gay in the slightest, I just love these tissue-light, soft shiny dark blue windpants. What's wrong with that? Unfortunately they teared and have torn more and are now unwearable. I wish I knew where I could get another pair like that, makes me wish I had bought like a dozen pairs back then! Prob is they were never very popular even then for some reason, I can't imagine why, men and women both seem to resist shiny fabric and I can't understand why as it looks so good! I search and search and can't find any, and usually what goes out of style eventually comes back but I am still waiting! (used to like women in those dark blue denims that seemed almost shiny too, ok I have a thing for shiny dark blue so sue me!) Yes sweating would produce obvious wet spots and they would heat up in the full sun of a summer day, but you'd think they could solve that in this modern age without resorting to uncomfortable and restrictive liners, making the fabric itself resist heat and moisture somehow without compromising its look and feel. I hope someone can tip me off on where you can get pants like this, you would think some would still have vintage pants from the 90's laying around in their closets. I am not as obscessed as I seem but would be nice to have your choice of clothes.

  • From a girls thought, the are more roomy for certain things that he can't control right now.

  • this is gonna sound a lil embarrassing... When a boy hits puberty and becomes a teenager, his "thing" would get hard at any random times.. At school, while watching tv or even when he's talking with people... Nylon pants are more comfy than wearing a jeans cause jeans are so tight, they could murder us when we got hard.. Trust me..it hurts so bad i want to rip off my jeans and throw it away.. Don't worry about it.. It's no big deal.. besides it doesn't matter as long as he looks good, does it??
  • point is, I like the way these pants look and feel, sounds like this kid does too, and no one should judge or discourage that. Also, he prob likes doing in them what most boys his age like doing a lot if you get my drift, it is better than nothing at all for that. If only any clothes you could conceive of was available and everyone wore their own unique style and no style was looked down on, and if only I could find another pair of pants like that! :) :D
