    I used to make $10/hr per kid. I think that was pretty generous though.

    I did make about $4.00 per hour babysitting. It's hard for me to remember..it was so long ago!

    I been reasearching this. WEll I am almost 19 years old and I am not Attending College til next year and I am looking for a new job (I worked at a bowling Center) but in the meantime I picked up Babysitting For two kids ones 19 months and ones 3 . They are both in diapers still and both sleep in a crib and the 14 months old still breast feeds. they parents are a firrefighter and a Trama Nurse and I get up at 4:30 in the morning to babysitt them for 12 hours a day. And Watch them anytime they call me. They pay $40 for a 12 hours days which is like $3 an hour and when they just call me in they usually give me only $7 for like 3 hours or more..Everyone tells me I need to ask for more but im shy and kinda a push over. I am just trying to support myself until I get another job What do you think?

    I am 19years old and I wake up at 5 o'clock am every morning and babysit my one year old nethew for nine hours everyday no breaks and only get paid $200 every two weeks plus $65 food stamps Everyone tells me it's not fair but if I quit I am jobless and My little nethew is all alone. What to do?

    I charge $4/hour for an 8 hour day during the summer. I make about $160 a week. If I babysit for 2 families I make about $360 a week. If I babysit less than 8 hours a day I charge $6/ hour.

    I make $5 per kid for an hour. Sometimes I can babysit for 5 hours... That's $25 dollars right there... For 1 kid. But most of all it depends on how old the kid/kids are. Mine go as young as 6 months to 10 years. I have baby sitted all ages and made lots of money doing it. I always get asked to come back!

    I make $6 if its just one kid or if it's a baby. But if it's like 3 or 4 kids at one time I lower it to $5 bucks.

    Ten years ago when I babysat, there was one family I sat for almost weekly who tended to stay out til 1 or 2 and I got about $5 an hour before 10:00 and $10 and hour after that for their three kids. I could easily pull $50 just for one night. But they were pretty generous, I think partly because their kids really liked me and they felt their kids were much safer with me than with their backup sitters.

    I babysit for two families and one is a 4 year old boy that is asleep when i babysit (parents go out at 10pm til 3am) and I babysit 3 kids ages 6,3, and 10 months and thats during the day and i make 10$ an hour for each family plus i get fed so its a good deal
