It works with illegal downloads, such as those from Limewire, however you can't put sons on that you purchase from iTunes because they're protected. If you plan on buying this phone, though, it's not a good idea for an MP3 player. It has all the cool gadgets, however it doesn't support any form of memory card, leaving it with a total of 128MB of storage (only about 20-25 songs). Try the iPhone.
