  • Apparently so: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1077/is_n9_v48/ai_13947838 It seems that his white descendants still don't want to know about it though. So silly of them. We are not responsible for the peccadillos of our ancestors. I am Australian. I understand my great-great grandfather had a liaison with an aboriginal woman. I would love to know if this is true and whether I have part aboriginal distant relatives. They would be no different in my eyes than any other relative. They are still blood. I can't be responsible for our ancestor's behaviour, but I can be respsonsible for mine.
  • I've heard that, in fact, I read a few articles about it. from what I gathered, the only people who still act as if they are blind/deaf to the whole situation are his ancestors/great -great-great-great (???) grand children.
  • I understand it is not proven it was Thomas, but rather any one of the three Jefferson men. DNA links a Jefferson male, not Thomas exclusively.
  • Only genetic tests will tell for sure, but what slave owner or anyone connected with the trade did not possibly father children by the slaves? With that in mind you might say that every black person in America probably has caucasian blood in them.
