Do you mean Social Security? I don't know what SSC is. The Social Security benefactor was a fellow named Ernest Ackerman who got a payment for 17 cents in January 1937. This was a one-time, lump-sum pay-out--which was the only form of benefits paid during the start-up period January 1937 through December 1939. Born one second after midnight in January 1946, Kathleen Casey-Kirschling filed for early retirement Monday, becoming the first baby boomer to start collecting Social Security. I was born in 1943, so I am a pre baby boomer.
