I don't shy away from any questions, but I answer questions at random...whatever is new when I happen to be checking.
-
Head on. And I usually keep going till the person gives up and minuses me like a coward:D It really helps the time pass!
-
For the most part, I tend to avoid them. However, I have answered a few. It depends on how interesting they are (to me), if I feel I have something significant to contribute or an opinion I can't resist espressing - lol.
-
depends on who is asking. Sometimes (not all) but sometimes I can tell by who the asker is that they don't want a legit answer..they want to "argue" and that if I don't answer the way they want, I will be DR and they will leave me a nasty comment. Sometimes I wait and follow it and follow the comments. I have no problems voicing my opinion but I will NOT waste my time voicing it ONLY so someone can argue with me or try to convince me that I am wrong.
-
Depends. If I feel that I can offer some intelligent discussion and perspective on whatever the specific issue is, I will attempt to do so. If I feel that it would be pointless to try, because of an obvious slant to the question, or the realization that the topic itself is inherently biased, I will pass on it.

I'm curious am I being "Censored" I just answered this one and this is the third time tonight that it blanked my answer and I re submit and it sometimes takes, and it was lengthly too. ~Nemo~
-
For the most part...shy away. I don't care to be judged and I don't intentionally seek arguments.
-
I jump in... But I usually try to get the question outside of the normal boundaries of such discussions. So, if someone asks "Why do liberals suck?", I'll try to get that person to explain what they mean by that. My main goal is to get people to examine their beliefs from new points of view, or with new information. My success rate is low, but it can be fun....:-D...
-
I usually jump in. I'm extremely tolerant of others' religious views, and like to debate... Hence the politics.
-
yes.
-
somewhere in between i won't go in blaring my horn but i'm not shy either
-
Depends on my analysis on whether the gun seems to be loaded. Sometimes I'll accept the dual on main street, sometimes it's like "No, something about the way it's worded." Something like "If bush hates gays so much then y dos he watch fooootbal wen dey always touch each others assess?" just seems to be a touch suspicious.
-
I would like to know more about politics to be able to give intelligent answers. I do shy away most times. Religion is an area that I'm really not qualified to answer any question. I've never understood much about organized religion.
-
Shy away. I'm tired of getting downrates for believing in God. Not that they matter in real life, but I can't believe people would actually do that because you have a certain belief, that most likely they don't adhere to. There are hundreds of other questions anyway, so why bother answering questions where people just want to hear what they want to hear?
-
It really depends on what they are talking about and if I feel the need to voice my opinion. Generally, I try to stay away because I know I have a pretty strong opinion on both of those subjects.
-
I steer way clear of religion, but when i'm feeling feisty, i'll tackle a political question or two.
-
I always look, and see of someone is blatantly biased, or just using a "question" as a way of bullying their views into things. I like asking people for sources, and if they are just blowing steam, that tends to shut em up. I LOVE actual debates, where people aren't just saying "this is stupid, there's no proof, you are stupid", or "how can you believe what she says, she's a cow" or crap like that. Unfortunately, there are a lot of those around.

I'm fairly new to AB, but I've found out quite quickly, that voicing an honest opinion, regarding beliefs on either side of the religious fence, causes an emotional, not intellectual, outburst in the form of DRs, from a few intolerant individuals, that refuse to hear anything in which they may disagree. Those individuals have my sympathy, because with that attitude, life will be a long bumpy road, fraught with conflict, as apposed to honest discussion, for the mutual enlightenment of all involved. So, yes, I will be shying away from most questions of that nature. I want to learn about people, not be attacked by them.
-
I only shy away from questions of a sexual nature or those that are vulgar. I am offended by those and I don't respond well when I am offended. If I have anything to say about a particular question, I don't hold back. If it means I get a smackdown, so what?
-
I shy away from questions about politics and religion, now. I know so little about politics. I've asked as well as answered questions about religion when I first joined AB. Now, I shy away for the most part because I see too many arguments there.
-
Well, I really have no place in a question about politics, but I answer a lot of them anyway, and I've actually been the expert in Barack Obama twice. Religion questions are more fun, and any idiot can answer a question about religion (clearly), so I do that too.
-
I usually jump into the fray head first. I beleive in freedom of speech.
-
...You mean, there are *other* types of questions on this site?
-
I will discuss them, but would rather avoid them on here because people start to bicker!!!!
-
Leave me out of it!
-
I usually shy away from the political ones as they are about american politics and i live in the UK.:)
-
If I have an opinion I give it even though i am certain I am going to be DRed for it.
-
It depends on how important I think the question is, and on how important I think it is that I share my answer.
-
I used to jump into the fray, now I avoid those kinds of questions. I found there really wasn't a debate on those topics anyway, just people looking for a fight.
-
Straight in with both feet
-
Hell no! ... I'm a jumper I will have a crack at anything if able ... Sometimes I can go a little far with the debate ... but thats me! ... I love a challenge and I am not a quiter. If I upset people ... then I am sorry! ... It is not my intention to do so ... But there are others here who are so one eyed > and our battles can go on and on ;) All part of the game I guess ... Thankyou
