I am not sure how this is a riddle, it sounds more like a math problem. 60 seconds * 60 minutes * 24 hours * 365 days in the year = 31536000 (or 31622400 in a leap year)

If a year is considered to be 365.25 days long then there are 31,557,600 seconds in an average year.

The answer to the riddle is 12. There are 12 months, and one second day each month. LOL gotcha!
