Can you get gout from eating animal organs such as chicken gizzards, calves liver, etc?

Gout is known as rich mans disease. It is true that certain organ meats will aggravate gout but it also will be a problem with genetics. Gout is a build of small calcium and uric acid crystals that invade the joints and cause the joint to become inflammed. It is very painful and even the weight of a bedsheet lying on the area will cause severe pain. You will redness swelling and heat in the area. The most noted place for the appearance is the the joint in the big toe. I have it you do not want it. Mr Bill

a friend of mine at work(a fellow chef) has gout and she was advised to avoid rich foods like pate and liver,but also things like fortified wines and marmite.
