I dont think so.For me the spirit of christmas is giving, what could be bad about that?
-
No. If you don't believe in ghosts, is it bad to celebrate halloween? There are also different traditions of Christmas. Different kinds of religions celebrate Xmas in different ways.

Christmas isn't even a christian holiday anymore. Its a commercial holiday that we happen to get a week off of school for. Christmas was never supposed to be about giving presents, buying cards, or giving into capitalism. It is about spending time with family and loved ones. Therefore, I think that practically no one celebrates Christmas as intended. I view it as a second sort of Thanksgiving. Thats how it should be.

Of course not! If you mean "Christian". Of course your name could be other than Christine also! Anyhow, I would say if you want to celebrate Christmas, you don't have to be a hristian at all. Jewish people even celebrate Christmas. It is in the intent and what it means to you, not in your religious affiliation. Have a good Chritmas! :)

Feel free to celebrate. Jesus came for everyone.

I don't know if I'd say that it is "bad", since I'm sure that people's intentions are good, but I do know that many Christians, particularly devout ones, don't appreciate the way their holiday (comes from the expression "holy day", btw) has been turned into something that has nothing whatsoever to do with the birth of Christ. When it's all so commercialized, the true spirit can be lost. But I guess it has become a cultural thing and many people think of it as a day to spend with family and a time to get and give gifts. Many anti-Christians will go on about the fact that some customs were originally pagan, as if that makes those customs still pagan once Christians adopted them and adapted them to their holiday. I really think that celebrating Christmas, if you are not a Christian, is only "bad" if you are going to do it in such a way as to totally disrespect the Christian origins of the holiday. Other than that, like I said it's a cultural thing and people celebrate it and enjoy the time with family. That doesn't seem "bad" to me.

no its not bad. christmas like anyother holiday has become so commercialized that everyone and anyone is invited to celebrate festivites. it just means that you will enjoy the love of family, giving, recieving, and all the holiday cheer with out the religious ties which should never be a bad thing. its a thing of personal belief.

Bear in mind how Christmas got started. The Christians couldn't attract people to their faith, so they co-opted the pagan celebration of Yule (hence the evergreens and the sacrifice of a pig to Freya). Once people knew they could still celebrate Yule (now called Christmas) they were more willing to join up. I know that Christmas has come to be a celebration of Jesus, but considering how it was started, I don't think Christians have much standing to complain about outsiders co-opting their celebration! For what it's worth, Yule even celebrated the same thing as Christmas. Occuring on the shortest day of the year, it was a celebration of the rebirth of the sun (as opposed to the birth of the Son). Most Christian concepts are taken from the pagans and the Zoroastrians.

centuries before christ was born, this holiday was already observed. many already know that. so many people acknowledge that this is not of biblical origin, and some of these consider themselves christian, yet still they don't care. so if a non-christian wishes to celebrate this non-christian holiday, i guess it is up to the individual. however, let's see it for what it is. why pretend it to be what it is not. IT IS NOT CHRIST'S BIRTHDAY!!! he never told anyone to celebrate his birthday. the bible always will tell you (for those of you that would like to respect what the bible says)what days are important for christians to celebrate. it will give you the date and even the time. but of course pleasing God and his Son are not what most are interested in. it is the case of the blind leading the blind. we see the churches supporting this holiday, LYING to their members as they always have and will continue, until the day that God Almighty brings them to their ruin.

I'm an Atheist, and I celebrate Christmas.
-
I celebrate it. For anyone, it's a nice time to celebrate family and stuff of that sort.
-
It's not bad to celebrate Chrismas if you're not christian. I know a lot of agnostic, jewish, and athiest people that celebrate.
-
I don't think so, considering Christmas started out as a Pagan celebration.
