No, but she did buy me a ring for Valentine’s Day, a few months before we got engaged. For my part, I gave her my high school ring (on a chain around her neck, of course) while we were still in high school, but she gave it back to me when we broke up. After we got back together, a few years later, she went right from nothing on her left ring finger to a diamond. :-)

Yeah about 2 weeks after I started dating this guy, he presented me with a sapphire ring. It was kind of pretty but too big. He noticed I wasn't wearing it and was like "oh so you don't like the ring I gave you?!" So I wore it on my middle finger because it fit on that one. Then he said, "you're supposed to wear it on your LEFT hand, and on your ring finger!" Needless to say, we broke up soon after. I still have the ring, somewhere.
