Our condo by-laws say you can't rent your condo. I own a two bedroom and might take in a roomate. It doesn't say no roomate. What can as association do if you rent and your not suppose to. Is there a fine or can they get your evicted.

Check the fine print. What it might se saying is that they dont want you to buy the condo, & then move away and use it as a rental (money-making) property. i dont see why if you OWN it, you couldnt have a roommate who pays rent. what if you had a "significant other" move in who wanted to contribute to the monthly payment? how is that any different?
