How to I turn off the notifications that come to my email???

In your profile settings there is a small button named notification options, where you can check boxes that allow you to receive notifications about your posts etc.

In the upper right corner of the screen, click on the dark blue bar labeled "View my profile and activity." Then click on "My Settings." Then "Preferences." Uncheck the boxes under "Notifications."

Go to "Edit my Profile." Go to "Preferences." Makes sure those boxes are unchecked. You also want to make sure the boxes at the bottom of the question pages are unchecked which say: Send me new answers to this question. Send me new questions in AB site navigation.

Gtravels & Anguilla have great ideas. In addition, I have set up a rule in my email account that when these messages come into my email, they go straight into my trash folder so they don't go in my inbox.
