WHAT??!! They aren't, men's rooms are NASTY. When we are out and our kids have to go (the young ones that don't go by themselves yet) my wife takes them into the women's restroom.

I agree and I have no idea why this is! The only thing I can come up with is that maybe more women use public washrooms, but I have nothing to back that theory up. I just know that, being female, when I go into a public waschroom (especially at kohls!) it's usually disgusting!!!

Not in any I've seen or had the 'privilege' of cleaning. Men's are horrid and disgusting with every kind of yuck there is. Their aim is off and their feet are dirtier. What washrooms have you been in? Some other country than the USA I presume???

Actually, my husband worked as a theatre manager for many years and found this to be the case 9/10ths of the time. I think it must be because women spend so much time in a washroom.

I have no idea. All I want to know is this: If this question is TRUE about the cleanliness of women's public restrooms, then I want answers to the following: 1. Why can't women simply put the seat DOWN when they need to use the toilet instead of making a capital offense out of it being up. 2. What's so darned bad about sprinkling a little bit, then, if the women's bathroom is so much more disgusting? (Don't get me wrong here...guys who don't wipe the seat are DISGUSTING! And why can't they lift the seat in the first place? Come on, guys....you give the rest of us bad names!) :)

At the restaurant I used to work at I had to clean both the women's and men's bathroom at the end of the day. The men's one the most that was messy was tp on the floor and a smudged mirror. The women's bathroom had tampon wrappers, often clogged toilets, tp all over the floor, the trash can would be overflowing with pads as well as some being on the ground around it and the sink was a hairy mess. I do not know how men are so much cleaner in there but we are.

how did you get into a mens room without being seen by other men?

womans bathrooms are wayyyyy cleaner, whenever i pass the mens bathroom it reeks like piss. *shudders* the down fall to pissing standing up

I think mens are cleaner as far as cleanliness because we can use urinals. But mens often have more graffiti and related vandalism because guys just like to wreck stuff for fun. Tagging up a public bathroom is part of coming of age for a lot of guys.
