  • Cause man are suppose to do the hard work? xD
  • We needed a comeback for the "yeah, but I can do more than one thing at a time" silliness.
  • Positive correlation between physique and ego, LOL
  • the women for whom this isn't true have a harder time dating. I'd have no problem dating a chick with the skill to kick my butt 10 times over, she just can't look like it. most mamalian males are larger than females
  • there are some women who are bigger than men!
  • It's to do with adaption of our species to the environment that we evolved in. Humans were hunter-gatherers and since the men did the hunting and the women stayed with the offspring nature made men physically larger than women to accommodate the roles so that humans would survive. This doesn't rule out the possibility that some females were involved in the hunts.
  • Because men's chromosomes make them larger and stronger (on average) physiologically than women. It varies by species, in some species the females are larger than the males.
  • Because otherwise NOONE would be able to open jars.
  • Compared to lots of other mammals, men aren't that much bigger, and the gap between the average height and weight of the genders is decreasing. In general, the more mates the male of a species has at one time, the larger he is in proportion to the females. So gorillas and sea lions, who have harems of females, are much larger, whereas chimp and human males are only a bit larger.
  • I had to read through the first 9 answers first to make sure I wasn't repeating someone else. The actual reason is a term called "Sexual Dymorphism" More animals than not (mammels and reptiles) actually have a difference in size in the sexes. It's more pronounced in animals that stay together to rear young. In the case of humans, the larger size is to account for hunting etc.
  • men have lots of testosterone in their system then women do
  • Hmmmm...depends what you're referring to. The inside is way more important than the outside, isn't it?
  • I respectfully disagree, I would say 80% of women within a mile radius are bigger than me (5'9, 160lbs)...
