  • there is far more danger from the supertanker pumping the gas onshore than from a fixed rig - but the imported fuel is cheaper (at the moment) so this is what they push +5
  • Thanks for the negs ... coward. In reality. environmental fascists are part-and-parcel to our economic woes. They have made it nearly impossible to build nuclear power plants (clean energy that even environmentalists support), additional refining capacity (helping drive gas prices higher), environmentally-UNfriendly ethanol scams, off-shore drilling in PRODUCTIVE fields (they restrict exploration to low yield areas), and the aforementioned silliness over having to import natural gas (a plentiful clear local resource). This is just the latest example of costly, environmentalist-driven absurdities that are helping to undermine our economy.
  • ... use what you have first ... import after it is used up ... I think the environmentalists are just a bit too worried about earthquakes causing leaks and explosions ... and they certainly do not want oily beaches among the hollywood elite areas ... but I would not call them insane ... there is a real risk, but it is miniscule and easily managed with proper caution, they should not be so freaked out at the idea of offshore drilling ...
  • I think it's Borch, or maybe Pilly Minny. Sometime you can't distinquish the two, especially if your "Russian" in with "Da" generous dollop of sour cream lased with dill. >drool<
