I've got a 98 Dodge Caravan with a3.1liter engine.Now i've got a rod or lifter knocking 2 weeks after i had my valve covers replaced.What might have caused it?

Well...those caravans had 3.0, 3.3, and 3.8 liter engines...the 3.0 was notorious for noisy lifters...but is a very good engine. You can try changing the oil and then revving it up to 4000rpm for a couple minutes to get oil back up to the lifters...if that doesn't work you need new ones to correct the noise.
