Nope...it matured. I believe the expectation that the passion, excitement, 'butterflies in the stomach' part of being 'in love' changes over time. It goes deeper. A common misconception is that when that first flush changes - or appears to diminish - that there is something wrong. Not so! Quite the opposite. It is supposed to evolve into a deeper friendship and mutual respect...but a couple has to work on that..... and continue to work on maintaining the intimate and romantic side too.
