I think because of the so much bad things that have happened in life, society is naturally cautious and skeptical and (realists/pessimists) about other people they come across in life...do you agree? Why or why not?

i think this happens most to people who are idealists... they believe that the world could be an ideal place to live in. but then when they realise that whatever they do, they would never be able to change the world to this idealist place, they see everything and everyone are a hypocrite... one who preaches but does not do what he preaches. this would occur too to those who have suffered great injustices when they have tried to be just and adhere to the rules. yes, life is delusional sometimes, and we must learn to accept it with all its faults. but this is difficult when you are subjected to a society where everyone seems to be a hypocrite. that is my opinion.

Some people have lived horrendously sad lives..and still are grateful for what they have, are optimistic and hopeful..some people have "bad hair" days and moan/groan/complain/whine. Your path in life does not determine how you walk it. Pessimist/optimist..sceptical/trusting..judgmental/non-judgment...honest/deceitful. It has nothing to do with how hard or easy your life has been..nothing. It is who you are! :)

I dont agree, I had a hard life, I am very grateful and optimistic about life. I think people make bad choices, they get pessimistic, but dont want to see that it was their actions are what caused the bad situations. It is so much easier to blame others. Some like the drama they create and the attention they get from it.

Yes. Society is always over cautious since they have burnt their hands before. But from personal point of view,the whole world is a beautiful creation and various types of people live here and we have to live in harmomy and spread love amongst everyone.

I'll agree with your statement but I'll actually blame this on the media. They focus so much on what is going wrong that they present an unbalanced viewpoint. People should be cautious and skeptical to a point but also realize that most other people have good intentions. I try to expect other people to be nice until I see them doing something bad.

I not only agree... I believe I am their Queen. And not to mention, in more cases than not, these idiots will almost always live up to and surpass your lowest and most obvious inclinations of their intentions so. It is merited.
