My guess is that murder of a birth mother is very rare. Patricide is probably more common.

I would say that Patricide is far more common. Natural mothers are rarely murdered.

My guess is that matricide would be more common. People seem to have more issues with their mothers than with their fathers. I don't know it that's true though.
