C, N, O, Cl are non-metals Na, Mg, K, Ca, Fe are metals C has no charge N has a charge of -3 O has a charge of -2 Cl has a charge of -1 Na has a charge of +1 Mg has a charge of +2 K has a charge of +1 Ca has a charge of +2 Fe doesn't have a single charge, it can be +1, +2, +3 etc. Fe is in the D-Block... Which is why it doesn't have a definate charge. Hope this helps.
