"It is often recommended that ice packs be applied on and off during the first 24 hours of injury to reduce the bruising. After that, heat, especially moist heat, is recommended to increase the circulation and the healing of the injured tissues. Rest, elevation of the effected part, and compression with a bandage will also retard the accumulation of blood. Rarely, if a bruise is so large that the body cannot completely absorb it or if the site becomes infected, it may have to be surgically removed."

Who's leaving bruises on everyone's favorite BAM? We'll put the collective answerbag smack down on them!!!

Is someone hurting BAM? does the AB crew need to have a little "talk" with someone? Well, ice helps, especially if it's very recent. Afterwards, not much can be done, but you could try a little bit of concealer or some other make up (i'm not real familair with make up, i can't be more helpful) to try to cover the bruised area

Arnica cream is about the best way I've found. You can buy it from Holland & Barratt, and possibly Boots- they usually store it near the homeopathic stuff. You just rub in a bit every few hours and the bruis eshould fade quicker than normal.

Try a Davies Gate Boo Boo Stick--it is meant for babies and has a silly name, but it works quite well. I bruise very easily, so I carry a stick in my purse for quick touch ups.

Arnica gel or cream.

Cover up goes a long way, though it is temporary, and not cheap cover up, the kind that you put on with a sponge, that blends it into your skin better.

To cover a bruise, Dermablend is best. It is generally sold as a kit with the coverup and a setting powder. Pricey, but if you bruise a lot and coverage is what you are looking for, this is the product. Do an online search to find a good price. Hope this helps.
