Is it difficult to own and take care of a pet pig? What does it entail?

An old woman decided to buy a pig and have it live in her hut. The neighbors were aghast--"But what about the smell?" "Aye, and he'll have to get used to it!" I don't think that they'll be toilet trainable, but I've heard of diapers...I've even seen Mules with diapers, in Oklahoma City.

Taking care of a pet pig would probably be at least somewhat difficult, though I’ve heard it said that they’re easier to care for than the average dog. It's difficult! I have seen homes of pig owners and it's not pretty.
