    assuming windows.... open a Windows Explorer window (not Internet Explorer) Tools menu, Folder Options VIEW tab click radio button for 'show hidden files and folders' While you're there, uncheck the checkbox for 'hide extensions for known file types' click apply then click apply to all folders if you want to see hidden files in all folders OK to close
