  • Never ever ever use flea drops on any animal unless you know its flea season. Meaning if you live someplace where it snows - give it a break. Treatment for fleas should not stop at the animal affected - it should also include a deep down cleaning of the house and a treatment with powders, sprays, ointments what ever you can get to kill the fleas and their eggs where ever the animal has been. Repeated - like weekly treatments for furniture and carpeting are usually part of the directions - you know that fine print stuff... do it. I brushed the cats every day during flea season, checking for fleas - the brush was followed by a flea comb to remove flea dirt (flea poo) and flea eggs - manual removal tends to do a very good job as reducing the immediate effects of fleas, drops (when used correctly) will serve for the long term repelling and killing.
