Sell the car! It will always have that sweet smell!
I would recommend using a professional to clean it. Some do a very good job for a very fair price (possibly about the same amount it would cost to buy the right cleaning chemicals). For example, in Sheffield it costs from £10 at the following car valeting company: http://www.absolutesparkle.co.uk

You're reading A container of antifreeze spilled in my car. How do I clean the carpet to remove the odor?

I didn't say it was a nice sweet smell! But it's a SWEET smell! Don't it smell sort of sweet? People put it out to kill animals! Got one of my dogs once!

I've heard that animals are attracted to it. Could be the carpet's normal odor doesn't mix well with the antifreeze.

Not sure about that! But I know sure as hell dogs don't mix with it well!
