I just moved away from Savannah and I never thought I'd miss it. I love nice days on River Street, Gelato and Buffalo Wings in City Market and sitting alone on Tybee beach in the middle of the night or swimming in early fall at night when the plankton are all glowy. There's too much to like about Savannah to name all in one place. I never was big on the touristy things though.

I visited the city one,and stayed in the local campsite.The city is beautiful with the French style ironworking on the balconies.The downtown looks allot like the French Quarter of New Orleans.

I have a friend in university there. The city is beautiful. The River Walk candy shop and candle making shop are fun, as well as the eating in that area. However, be observant. The crime rate is very high and you don't want to wander into a non-tourist area, or be alone at night.
