  • Because most people think of people that have "egos" as people who think they are better than everyone else.
  • Ego..egotistical..self-centered..possibly arrogant. Nothing positive there. It seems to me that if you focus your attention outward, toward others..work toward helping others, being kind, being non-judgmental, being fair, accepting, truthful and honorable..well, all of that should envelop you in all the positive feedback you would need to feel self-esteem. :)
  • Nah confidence and comfort in being ourselves gives us self esteem. An ego is when that confidence is inflated to extreme proportions, until a persons head is so fat, that the person in question comes across as arrogant and self obsessed.
  • having an ego isn't bad. having an ego and being excessivly vocal about it is annoying. and being annoying is a negative trait.
