  • 'True' bugs, Hemiptera, are distinguishable from what we'd normally call bugs in that Hemiptera have sucking mouth parts. Examples are aphids and pondskaters.
  • Somehow I'm under the inescapable impression that "bug" is not a taxon, a scientific category. Thus I'm skeptical about the classification 'true bugs.' . So then, no one accepts my 'exoskeleton and multiple legs' description?
