Has an advertisement that used a classic song ever ruined the song for you? The Yaz birth control commercial ruined Patty Smyth's "Goodbye to You" for me.

I find how they're playing a lot of remakes of old songs in advertisements to be very distasteful and pointless. I can't recall the commercial, but it's playing a remake of a Beetles' song in the background. It struck me as being unrelated and more a case of "OMG LOOK WE HAVE A FAMOUS SONG IN OUR AD" than anything else. I don't want the product or the song anymore ;)
