I haven't watched soaps in years. Back in the day, my favorite was The Guiding Light. That was way back when Kevin Bacon was on the show. He played "Tim" the troubled, alcoholic teen.

I enjoyed a show entitled "Soap", starring Billy Crystal. It was made in the late 1970s, I think, and it was like a archetypal soap opera, verging on the absurd and quite funny.
