National Biscuit Company - my older brother worked for them.

In the late 1890's three bakeries, the New York Bisquit Company, American Bisquit Company and the United States Baking Company merged and became the National Bisquit Company. The merger combined over 100 bakeries into one company. The name was later shortened to NABISCO. The name thing is also confusing since some to their products where labeled as NABISCO and others the National Bisquit Company. NABISCO has gone through a confusing litany of mergers, buyouts and divestitures over the years.
