In most jurisdictions, he can get in trouble if you are under 18, he is over 18, and the difference in your ages is at least 4 years. Based upon this, and your post, I'd say yes.

Having answered your question, I'd like to suggest that you brush up a bit on your spelling and grammar.

You need to check what the law is in your area. Call legal aid and ask them. In some cases the legal age of consent is 16, but that may only be WITH your parent's permission. Do not go by anything you read here, though. Call legal aid in your area and ask them. Laws are different everywhere.

woah....i know exactly what you are going through. i am 15 and my boyfriend is 19. when hes 20 im gonna be 16. we are nervous cuz 15 and 19 sound a lot more innocent than 16 and 20...but he very much can get in trouble and if u guys have been having sex...he could probably go to jail.
you have crappy parents like mine. ur parents should trust your judgement on him and let you be in love. i suggest you go old fashioned and fake a break up. go to ur friends house and see him there.

Im not sure how it works over there but in Australia,
the age of consent is 16 for most states, 17 for others..
If he got taken to court, there would be a good chance that he'd get off all charges if you stated that the sexual relations were consential. The age gap between you both isn't too vast, therefore that's a lot better than if you were say, 13 years old and were dating a 20 year old.
Express to your parents that you're educated enough when it comes to sex and the risks involved with it. Let them know that you and boyfriend make sure to keep it safe and use protection. (Well, hopefully you do!)
It helps if your boyfriend talks to your parents also. Therefore they can be more at ease in their minds about the type of person he is and his intentions.

you're legally allowed to date him, however sexual contact is forbidden. In some states he could be put in jail.

So really, you could date him, but your parents could easily claim he's had sex with you, which would be considered rape.

check your state for those laws. Usually at 16 you are not at a legal age for anything. Most of the laws start to change at the age of 17, so you might still be in trouble until you reach age 17. Well what I mean by trouble I mean your boyfriend. He can be charged with some sort sexual offense. So if you really care please keep that in mind and try to be responsible with your relationship. I know a young man that just got out of jail after serving 4 years and now has to register as a sex offender due to a similar situation. He was 19 at the time and the girlfriend was 16, he is now 24. It is a shame.
