Drinking may cause a miscarriage, but more commonly it is the cause of FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome). If you drink while you are pregnant (or do drugs or even SMOKE), you should be arrested. However, there is a certain amount you can drink to not inflict damage but better safe than sorry...

Not only can alcohol cause miscarriage, it leads to other behavior that can cause the termination of your pregnancy. At the very least, alcohol damages the brain of your child, from the beginning.

I'm no Doctor but excessive drinking can,most of the time though drinking leads to down syndrome it damages the fetus so if your pregnant don't drink alcohol or take any type of drugs what so ever through out the pregnancy IMHO especially if you want the child, if you do, you want it healthy and the best way is to keep yourself healthy.. and IMHO if you do not want the child it is better not to bring it into the world as there are too many unwanted children now and most live miserable lives in abject poverty and disease, starvation, slavery and torture... ~Nemo~

If you drank alcohol in the very early stages of pregnancy (when you didnt even know yet) could this cause a miscarriage a few weeks later?
